Kansas has a huge reputation for having a lot of dear and game for hunting. Those who are looking for bucks with massive antlers would be going to the right place. The best time to hunt would be in the fall during hunting season. It has a lot of wildlife parks that allow hunting however some of the best spots are near marshes and lakes because that’s where the game tend to hang out for water and food. Kansas is a fantastic place for hunters. The variety of animals and the diverse ecosystems, provide something for everyone. From squirrel to elk, Kansas offers all ranges of game.
Elk are primarily hunted at the Fort Riley Military Reservation. However there are some free ranging herds, and hunting is allowed (by permit) in all counties except Morton.
